lidocaine + prilocaine (Akrikhin)

Acriol Pro is a topical anesthetic cream containing a eutectic mixture of lidocaine (2.5%) and prilocaine (2.5%). Developed and manufactured by the Russian pharmaceutical company Akrikhin, it is a generic version of Emla. Acriol Pro is indicated for surface anesthesia of the skin and genital mucosa prior to painful dermatological, cosmetic, and minor surgical procedures, such as injections, vaccinations, catheterization, and epilation. The combination of lidocaine and prilocaine acts synergistically to block voltage-gated sodium channels in the neuronal membrane, preventing the generation and conduction of nerve impulses to provide effective local pain relief.
