Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ZTlido is a single-layer, drug-in-adhesive topical delivery system containing lidocaine, an amide local anesthetic. It is specifically formulated to provide equivalent lidocaine exposure to Lidoderm (lidocaine patch 5%) but at a lower concentration (1.8%). ZTlido is designed as a transdermal anesthetic for the treatment of pain associated with post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN) in adults. The system delivers lidocaine directly to the affected area, providing localized pain relief by blocking sodium channels in nerve membranes, which inhibits nerve impulse initiation and conduction.
