LidoPain

LidoPain is a branded topical patch formulation containing lidocaine, an amide-type local anesthetic. Lidocaine works by blocking voltage-gated sodium channels in neuronal cell membranes, thereby inhibiting the initiation and conduction of nerve impulses. This results in localized numbness and pain relief at the site of application. The primary indication for lidocaine patches such as LidoPain is the management of pain associated with postherpetic neuralgia (nerve pain following shingles), but it may also be used off-label for other localized neuropathic or musculoskeletal pains. Lidocaine has a rapid onset and intermediate duration of action when applied topically, providing temporary relief from pain without causing loss of consciousness or systemic anesthesia[3][4][5][7].
