LIFE-001

LIFE-001 is a precision-engineered, controlled-release, organ-sparing, immunophilin-independent calcineurin inhibitor (CNi) developed by LifeMine Therapeutics. It is designed as a next-generation universal T cell immunosuppressant for the treatment of multiple immune-mediated disorders and prevention of organ transplant rejection. Unlike legacy CNis, LIFE-001 operates independently of immunophilins to avoid the typical organ damage associated with older drugs in this class. Preclinical studies have shown efficacy in models of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, with improved safety over traditional CNis. The drug is currently being evaluated in a first-in-human Phase 1 clinical trial to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and effectiveness at suppressing T cells[1][2][3][5].
