Overview
Lifei Xiaoji Pill is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, specifically for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Formulated to address the TCM patterns of Qi deficiency and phlegm-stasis, it contains a complex mixture of herbal ingredients intended to inhibit tumor progression and alleviate symptoms. Clinical and preclinical studies indicate that the pill can induce apoptosis in lung cancer cells, suppress tumor growth, and enhance the efficacy of conventional treatments like chemotherapy while reducing side effects. It is currently utilized as an adjuvant therapy within the developing hospital's clinical practice and is undergoing further clinical evaluation to establish its role in the standard oncological care of lung adenocarcinoma.
