Ligandrol

Ligandrol is a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) developed for the treatment of muscle wasting, osteoporosis, and muscle atrophy, particularly in people with hip fracture. It acts by selectively binding to androgen receptors in skeletal muscle and bone tissue, mimicking the effects of testosterone but with fewer side effects than traditional anabolic steroids. This binding initiates gene expression changes that promote muscle repair and growth. Ligandrol has been studied as an investigational drug for conditions such as cancer-related cachexia, hypogonadism, and breast cancer; however, development for some indications has been discontinued.
