Overview
A combination of two traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, *Ligusticum chuanxiong* (Chuanxiong) and Frankincense (Ru Xiang). *Ligusticum chuanxiong* is known for its ability to invigorate blood and move Qi, with active constituents like ligustrazine (tetramethylpyrazine) and ferulic acid that exhibit anti-platelet and vasodilatory properties. Frankincense, a resin from *Boswellia* species, is utilized for its potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, primarily attributed to boswellic acids which inhibit 5-lipoxygenase. This combination is a classic herb pair (Dui Yao) in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) used to treat conditions associated with blood stasis and pain, such as dysmenorrhea, traumatic injuries, and inflammatory joint diseases.
