Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LIN-2005 is a recombinant protein being developed by Linno Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of neuroinflammation following a stroke. The drug is designed to inhibit the complement system, a part of the innate immune response that can exacerbate brain tissue damage after an ischemic or hemorrhagic event. Linno Pharmaceuticals utilizes a proprietary blood-brain barrier (BBB) drug delivery platform to facilitate the penetration of this protein therapeutic into the central nervous system while minimizing potential neurotoxicity. As of early 2024, LIN-2005 is in the IND-enabling stage of preclinical development.
