Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LIN-2006 is a bispecific antibody being developed by Linno Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), including both the dry (dAMD) and wet (wAMD) forms. It is designed to simultaneously target vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and the complement pathway. By inhibiting VEGF, the drug aims to reduce pathological neovascularization characteristic of wAMD, while its action on the complement system is intended to mitigate complement-mediated inflammation and tissue damage associated with dAMD progression. This dual-targeting approach addresses both the vascular and inflammatory drivers of the disease by neutralizing key factors involved in angiogenesis and the innate immune response.
