linc-ROR small interfering RNA is an experimental RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutic designed to silence the expression of the long intergenic non-protein coding RNA, regulator of reprogramming (linc-ROR). In hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), linc-ROR is known to facilitate tumor progression and resistance to doxorubicin by inducing the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) through interaction with the transcription factor TWIST1. By utilizing the RNAi pathway to degrade linc-ROR transcripts, this siRNA suppresses EMT and restores the sensitivity of HCC cells to chemotherapeutic agents. It is currently being investigated in preclinical research as a potential strategy to overcome chemoresistance in liver cancer.
