LINC00173.v1 antisense LNA GapmeR is a research-stage antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) developed by Exiqon. It is designed using Locked Nucleic Acid (LNA) technology in a gapmer configuration to specifically target and facilitate the degradation of the long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) LINC00173.v1. This lncRNA is highly expressed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (SQC) and plays a critical role in promoting angiogenesis and tumor cell proliferation. By silencing LINC00173.v1, the GapmeR inhibits vascular endothelial cell migration and tumorigenesis. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in mouse models of lung cancer when administered intraperitoneally.
