Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lincbiotech is developing a therapeutic program featuring monoclonal antibodies designed with high affinity for aberrant or pathological species of the tau protein. These antibodies are engineered to specifically target and neutralize misfolded tau aggregates, which are implicated in the neurodegenerative processes of Alzheimer's disease and other tauopathies. By binding to these toxic species, the therapy aims to prevent the propagation of tau pathology between neurons and mitigate neuroinflammation. While Lincbiotech also utilizes this antibody technology for diagnostic applications, such as ELISA kits for detecting misfolded proteins in cerebrospinal fluid, the therapeutic arm is focused on disease-modifying intervention in the early and progressive stages of dementia.
