Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lindioil is a refined topical oil extract derived from Indigo naturalis (Qing Dai), a herb used in traditional Chinese medicine. It is primarily developed for the treatment of inflammatory skin and nail conditions, including plaque psoriasis, nail psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis. The refining process aims to improve the safety, stability, and patient compliance compared to crude indigo naturalis preparations. Lindioil's therapeutic effects are attributed to its bioactive components, such as indigo and indirubin, which exhibit anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Research indicates that Lindioil modulates the skin microbiota by reducing the proportion of *Staphylococcus aureus* and shifting the microbial balance toward Proteobacteria. Its efficacy in psoriasis patients is significantly associated with the presence of the *HLA-Cw*06:02* genotype and baseline interleukin-17 (IL-17) levels.
