Overview

**LINEBACKER LB2** is a patented, investigational small molecule based on **di-chlorinated myricetin**, a modified plant-derived flavonoid, developed as part of the Linebacker platform. The modification involves chlorine atoms substituted for hydroxy groups at two positions on the myricetin scaffold. The primary mechanism of action is the inhibition of **PIM kinases**, serine/threonine kinases that function as oncogenes or mediators in cancer and inflammatory diseases. LB2 is being explored for its **anti-cancer** and **anti-inflammatory** properties, with potential in other therapeutic areas such as infectious diseases (notably ZIKA, malaria, and influenza) and neurodegenerative and memory-related diseases including Alzheimer’s disease. The Linebacker compounds were originally developed by Global BioLife, Inc. in partnership with GRDG Sciences before being licensed for worldwide development and commercialization by ProPhase BioPharma, a subsidiary of ProPhase Labs[1][3][4].
