Lingdancao granules

Lingdancao granules (also known as Chou-Ling-Dan or CLD) are a traditional Chinese herbal medicine formulation derived from the plant *Laggera pterodonta*, an ethnic herbal medicine native to the Yunnan province of China. Traditionally used for its antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties to treat feverish diseases and inflammatory conditions, it is currently being evaluated as a pharmaceutical treatment for seasonal influenza. A Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo- and active-controlled clinical trial was conducted by The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University to assess its efficacy and safety in patients aged 14 to 65 years. The formulation is administered orally in granule form and is believed to exert therapeutic effects through broad-spectrum antiviral activity and modulation of the host inflammatory response, typical of traditional ethnic medicine approaches to respiratory infections.
