Overview

Linggui Yangyuan Gao (LGYY) is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine paste developed by Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of male infertility, specifically asthenozoospermia (AS) and oligoasthenozoospermia (OA). The formulation is designed to enhance sperm viability and motility. It is currently being evaluated in a multicenter, double-blind, randomized controlled trial (NCT05792813) comparing its efficacy and safety to Wuzi Yanzong oral solution, another traditional Chinese medicine used for male infertility. As a complex herbal formulation, its specific molecular targets and active ingredients are not yet fully characterized in available literature.
