Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lingxian Granules (YS-001) is a standardized Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) drug candidate developed by Suzhou Yusen New Drug Development for the treatment of acute gouty arthritis. The drug is a purified extract derived from the root and rhizome of *Clematis chinensis* (Wei Ling Xian), a botanical traditionally utilized for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Lingxian Granules works by inhibiting the production and activity of key pro-inflammatory mediators, including Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) and Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-α), which are central to the inflammatory cascade in gout flares. It has undergone Phase II and Phase III clinical evaluation in China, demonstrating efficacy in reducing joint pain and swelling while maintaining a favorable safety profile.
