Overview

Linifanib is an orally active, small molecule multi-targeted receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It potently inhibits all members of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) receptor families, as well as FLT3 and KIT kinases. By blocking these pathways, linifanib suppresses tumor angiogenesis and proliferation. Linifanib was investigated in clinical trials for several solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. It was developed by Abbott Laboratories/AbbVie.
