Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Linvoseltamab + dupilumab** is a combination of two monoclonal antibodies studied for the treatment of severe IgE-mediated food allergy. **Linvoseltamab** targets B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) to modulate abnormal B-cell activity, while **dupilumab** blocks interleukin-4 receptor alpha, suppressing signaling of IL-4 and IL-13, key cytokines responsible for type 2 inflammation. This dual approach seeks to diminish both the hypersensitivity immune reaction (through modulation of plasma cells and B-cell function) and the downstream inflammatory processes typical of allergic conditions. Both drugs are developed by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. Dupilumab is already approved for several inflammatory indications, including atopic dermatitis, asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, and eosinophilic esophagitis, whereas linvoseltamab is investigational in this combination and in other contexts, such as multiple myeloma[1][2][4][5].
