Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Linzhi Jianghuang Fufang Huoxue Anshen Capsule (LJF) is a proprietary Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) botanical compound developed by Hong Kong Baptist University for the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The formulation is a "Fufang" (compound) primarily composed of extracts from *Ganoderma lucidum* (Linzhi) and *Curcuma longa* (Jianghuang/Turmeric). It is designed according to TCM principles to "activate blood" (Huoxue) and "calm the spirit" (Anshen). Mechanistically, LJF is investigated for its ability to reduce hepatic fat accumulation, improve lipid metabolism, and provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials to assess its efficacy in reducing liver fat content as measured by MRI-PDFF in adult patients.
