Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LipAprep (OXL001) is a novel lipidic capsule formulation of aprepitant, a selective neurokinin-1 (NK-1) receptor antagonist. Developed by Oxilio Limited in collaboration with TRx Biosciences and Quotient Sciences, LipAprep is designed to enhance the bioavailability and simplify the administration of aprepitant. While aprepitant is traditionally used for chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV), Oxilio is repurposing this formulation for oncology indications, targeting the antiproliferative effects of NK-1 receptor antagonism observed in various solid tumors, including glioma, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers. The drug has completed Phase 1 clinical evaluation in healthy volunteers, demonstrating dose-proportional exposure and a favorable safety profile, supporting its advancement into Phase 2 studies for cancer treatment.
