Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lipchronic is a bioactive nutritional formula developed by the IMDEA Food Institute, consisting of a supercritical extract of rosemary (*Rosmarinus officinalis* L.) rich in phenolic diterpenes (primarily carnosic acid and carnosol) formulated with bioactive alkylglycerols to enhance bioavailability. It is designed as a precision nutrition adjuvant for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or targeted therapies. Clinical studies (NCT05080920) have demonstrated its ability to modulate systemic inflammation, reduce the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), and preserve key immune cell populations like CD8+ memory T cells and monocytes, particularly in lung cancer patients. The formulation aims to counteract cancer-associated malnutrition and inflammation while potentially synergizing with standard oncological treatments.
