Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LIPO-6T is an HIV lipopeptide vaccine component used in therapeutic vaccination strategies for HIV-1 infection. It is administered in combination with ALVAC-HIV (vCP1433) and interleukin-2 (IL-2) to enhance HIV-specific immune responses, including CD4+ and CD8+ T cell responses, with the aim of improving viral control after antiretroviral therapy discontinuation. Clinical trials have evaluated its impact on immune responses and viral replication in patients treated early during primary HIV-1 infection and in chronically infected patients.
