Lipoaspirate micronized + leukocyte-poor platelet-rich plasma is a combination regenerative therapy that merges two autologous biologic products. The first component, micronized lipoaspirate, is derived from mechanically processed adipose (fat) tissue to concentrate stromal vascular fraction (SVF) cells, including adipose-derived stem cells and extracellular matrix components. This process removes most mature adipocytes and oil, resulting in an injectable product rich in regenerative cells[2]. The second component, leukocyte-poor platelet-rich plasma (PRP), is prepared by centrifuging the patient's blood to yield a high concentration of platelets with reduced white blood cell content[7]. PRP contains growth factors and cytokines that promote tissue repair and modulate inflammation[1][5][7]. When combined, these therapies are intended to synergistically enhance healing by providing both cellular elements for regeneration (from SVF) and bioactive factors for tissue repair (from PRP). This combination has been explored primarily in musculoskeletal medicine for conditions such as osteoarthritis, tendon injuries, chronic wounds, scars, or other soft-tissue disorders.
