Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LipoEsar is a marine-derived nutraceutical and lipoprotein complex developed by EuroEspes and its biotechnology subsidiary, EuroEspes Biotechnology (Ebiotec). It is formulated from E-SAR-94010, a freeze-dried extract obtained from the dorsal muscle of the European sardine (*Sardina pilchardus*). Rich in proteins, minerals, vitamins, and polyunsaturated fatty acids (such as EPA and DHA), LipoEsar is designed to support cardiovascular health and manage lipid pathology. Clinical and preclinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose, and uric acid levels, while increasing HDL cholesterol. Additionally, LipoEsar exhibits hepatoprotective, immunomodulatory, and antioxidant properties.
