Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lipomax is an oral liposomal iron and multivitamin food supplement developed and marketed by AGP in Pakistan. It is formulated as a mouth-dispersible sachet containing iron pyrophosphate microencapsulated in a liposomal phospholipid membrane, which enhances gastrointestinal absorption and bioavailability while reducing common side effects associated with oral iron intake. Lipomax is indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia, particularly during pregnancy, lactation, heavy menstruation, and in individuals with chronic kidney disease or general fatigue. The formulation also contains essential vitamins and minerals, including folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, manganese, and zinc, which synergistically support red blood cell production, energy metabolism, and immune function. A pediatric formulation, Lipomax J, is also available for children over three years of age.
