Liposic EDO

Liposic EDO is a highly viscous ophthalmic gel formulated for the symptomatic treatment of dry eye syndrome. Its primary active ingredient is carbomer, which acts as a tear substitute and lubricant by forming a protective and moisturizing layer over the ocular surface. This gel mimics natural tears by stabilizing all three layers of the tear film—lipid, aqueous, and mucin—providing long-lasting relief from irritation, burning, or tiredness associated with dry eyes. The formulation also includes cetrimide (as preservative), sorbitol, medium-chain triglycerides for enhanced viscosity and comfort, sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment to match natural tears (pH 7.4), and purified water[1][2][3]. It is particularly suitable for moderate to severe dry eye symptoms and can be used multiple times daily but should not be applied while wearing contact lenses.
