Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Liposic EDO Gel is a preservative-free, carbomer-based ophthalmic gel containing lipids (medium-chain triglycerides) designed for the symptomatic treatment of dry eye disease. Developed by Bausch + Lomb, it acts as a tear film substitute and lubricant. The carbomer component increases the viscosity of the tear film, while the lipid component helps stabilize the lipid layer of the tear film, reducing evaporation. It is specifically formulated as a single-dose (EDO) product to avoid preservatives, making it suitable for patients with sensitive eyes or severe dry eye syndrome requiring frequent application.
