liposomal irinotecan + sintilimab + anlotinib is a combination therapy regimen being evaluated for the treatment of recurrent or persistent ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC). The regimen consists of liposomal irinotecan, a nanoparticle-encapsulated topoisomerase I inhibitor that induces DNA damage in cancer cells; sintilimab, a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor to restore anti-tumor immune responses; and anlotinib, an oral multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor that suppresses tumor angiogenesis and growth by inhibiting VEGFR, FGFR, PDGFR, and c-Kit. This triplet combination is currently being studied in a Phase II clinical trial (NCT06143371) sponsored by Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University to assess its efficacy and safety in patients with OCCC, a subtype of ovarian cancer known for its poor prognosis and resistance to standard platinum-based chemotherapy.
