LIQ001

LIQ001 is a seasonal influenza vaccine candidate developed by Liquidia Corporation (formerly Liquidia Technologies) utilizing its proprietary PRINT® (Particle Replication in Non-wetting Templates) technology. The PRINT platform allows for the precise engineering of uniform nanoparticles with controlled size, shape, and chemical composition, which are designed to enhance the delivery and immunogenicity of vaccines and therapeutics. LIQ001 was evaluated in Phase 1/2a clinical trials (e.g., NCT01444742) to assess its safety, tolerability, and immune response, both as a standalone candidate and when administered in combination with the commercially available vaccine Fluzone. The development of LIQ001 was supported by a $10 million equity investment from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, intended to advance cost-effective and scalable vaccine solutions for global health needs. Although the program demonstrated the utility of the PRINT platform in vaccine applications, Liquidia has since shifted its primary focus toward pulmonary hypertension and other respiratory therapies, and LIQ001 is no longer active in the company's pipeline.
