Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lisador is an over-the-counter (OTC) fixed-dose combination medication developed by Mantecorp Farmasa (now part of Hypera Pharma) and marketed primarily in Brazil. It is formulated as an analgesic, antipyretic, and antispasmodic treatment. The drug contains three active ingredients: **dipyrone** (metamizole sodium), which provides potent analgesic and antipyretic effects; **promethazine hydrochloride**, an H1-receptor antagonist that offers antihistaminic and sedative properties; and **adiphenine hydrochloride**, which acts as an antispasmodic through anticholinergic mechanisms. This combination is specifically indicated for the relief of general pain manifestations, fever, and various types of colic (gastrointestinal, renal, and hepatic), as well as headaches and muscle pain. It is available in oral forms, including tablets and drops, with an onset of action typically occurring within 20 to 30 minutes.
