Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lisosan G is a nutritional supplement registered with the Italian Ministry of Health, provided by Agrisan Company. It is a fermented powder derived from organic whole grains of Triticum aestivum (wheat). The fermentation process enriches the powder with a variety of bioactive metabolites, including polyphenols, alpha-lipoic acid, vitamins, and polyunsaturated fatty acids, which contribute to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Research has explored its potential protective effects across several conditions. Its mechanism is believed to involve the reduction of oxidative stress and inflammation through pathways such as inhibiting NF-κB signaling, reducing levels of inflammatory markers like VEGF, ICAM-1, IL-6, and ET-1, and scavenging reactive oxygen species. A recent clinical study also showed it can attenuate GLP-1 concentrations to reduce post-bariatric hypoglycemia.
