Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Listeren Mouthwash (a typographical variant of Listerine Mouthwash) is an oral rinse containing the active ingredients eucalyptol and menthol. In a clinical trial (NCT06503029) sponsored by Riyadh Elm University, Saudi Arabia, Listeren Mouthwash was evaluated as a cleaning agent for Invisalign orthodontic clear aligners. The study investigated the cytotoxicity, leaching properties, and structural conformation of the clear aligners after being subjected to different cleaning methods, including Listeren Mouthwash, Invisalign Cleaning Crystals, Fittey Dent Cleaning Tablets, and a toothbrush with water. As an oral hygiene product, its active ingredients provide antiseptic and cooling properties, though in this trial context, it is evaluated specifically for its compatibility and safety when used to clean dental aligners.
