Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LiteVax is a proprietary, synthetic carbohydrate-based vaccine adjuvant developed by the Dutch biotechnology company LiteVax B.V. Chemically, it is a sucrose fatty acid sulfate ester (SFASE) designed to enhance the immunogenicity of vaccines by stimulating both humoral (antibody) and cellular (T-cell) immune responses. LiteVax is formulated to be stable, safe, and easy to manufacture, and it is intended to improve vaccine efficacy in populations with weakened immune systems, such as older adults. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials as a component of the TETRALITE program, which combines the LiteVax adjuvant with a quadrivalent influenza vaccine to provide superior protection against seasonal flu.
