litramine

Litramine (IQP-G-002AS) is a patented natural fiber complex developed by InQpharm for weight management. [9, 10] It is derived from the prickly pear cactus (*Opuntia ficus-indica*) and enriched with soluble fibers from *Acacia sp*. [10] Litramine is classified as a medical device and acts via a physical mechanism within the gastrointestinal tract. [2] It binds to dietary fats, forming large fat-fiber complexes that are too large to be absorbed and are subsequently excreted. [10, 11] Additionally, the soluble fibers can swell in the stomach, which increases the feeling of satiety and helps reduce appetite. [8] Clinical studies have demonstrated its effectiveness and safety in promoting weight loss and, notably, in the long-term maintenance of body weight.
