Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Liuhe Amino Acid Granules (also known as Hexaminoacid Granules) is an approved oral fixed-dose combination drug developed and manufactured by Tianjin Central Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Tianjin Lisheng Pharmaceutical. The formulation consists of six amino acids: L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine, L-aspartic acid, L-glutamic acid, and L-arginine. It is indicated for correcting amino acid imbalances, reducing blood ammonia levels, and promoting protein synthesis in patients with chronic liver diseases, particularly those with liver cirrhosis accompanied by branched-chain/aromatic amino acid (BCAA/AAA) disorders. By supplying essential branched-chain amino acids and key intermediates of the urea cycle, the preparation helps prevent and manage hepatic encephalopathy while supporting liver cell repair and regeneration.
