Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Liuwei Dihuang Wan is a classic Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula manufactured by Liaoning Jindan Pharmaceutical. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of Kidney Yin deficiency, a pattern in TCM characterized by symptoms such as dizziness, tinnitus, soreness and weakness of the waist and knees, night sweats, and thirst. The formula is composed of six herbal ingredients: prepared Rehmannia root (*Shudi Huang*), Cornelian cherry fruit (*Shan Zhu Yu*), Chinese yam (*Shan Yao*), Water plantain rhizome (*Ze Xie*), Poria sclerotium (*Fu Ling*), and Tree peony bark (*Mu Dan Pi*). These components work synergistically to nourish the kidney and liver yin while clearing heat and draining dampness. It is one of the most widely used and studied formulas in the TCM pharmacopeia for age-related decline and metabolic health.
