Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Liuwei Shunji is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by Guangdong Songshan Lake ZhenDe Biomedical Technology for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Administered as an oral capsule, the formulation is designed to regulate gastrointestinal motility and alleviate symptoms such as abdominal pain and irregular bowel movements. Clinical development in China has progressed through Phase II trials (e.g., CTR20131452), which aimed to establish the safety, efficacy, and optimal dosing required for subsequent Phase III clinical evaluation. As a TCM product, its therapeutic effect is attributed to the synergistic properties of its six primary herbal ingredients, traditionally used to harmonize 'Qi' and improve digestive health.
