Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LIV011 is an engineered live biotherapeutic product (eLBP) being developed by Liveome, a subsidiary of Medytox, for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Utilizing Liveome's proprietary E-LBP platform, the therapy consists of genetically modified microorganisms designed to express therapeutic genes that provide immunomodulatory effects directly within the gastrointestinal tract. This approach is intended to restore immune homeostasis and reduce chronic inflammation. LIV011 is currently in clinical-stage development, following the company's lead candidate, LIV001, which also targets inflammatory bowel conditions using similar gene-recombinant microbiome technology.
