Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LIV1039 is a preclinical-stage combination therapeutic being developed by Livmor Biosciences for the prevention and treatment of preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM), preterm birth, fetal inflammation, and newborn sepsis. The drug is a combination of two allosteric receptor peptide antagonists: Rytvela, an allosteric negative modulator of the interleukin-1 receptor (IL-1R) that targets interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) signaling, and HSJ699 (also referred to as HSJ633), an allosteric antagonist of the interleukin-6 receptor (IL-6R). By inhibiting both IL-1β and IL-6 signaling pathways, LIV1039 aims to suppress the inflammatory cascade that triggers premature labor and fetal/neonatal organ damage, while preserving maternal innate immunity.
