Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Livaro VA (JW0102) is a fixed-dose combination (FDC) therapy developed by JW Pharmaceutical for the treatment of patients with both hypertension and dyslipidemia. It integrates three active ingredients: amlodipine, a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker (CCB); valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB); and pitavastatin, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin). This triple combination is designed to simplify treatment regimens and improve medication adherence in patients requiring multi-drug therapy for cardiovascular risk management. By simultaneously targeting peripheral vascular resistance, the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, and hepatic cholesterol synthesis, Livaro VA provides a comprehensive approach to reducing cardiovascular risk in comorbid patients.
