Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Live combined lactobacillus is a live biotherapeutic product developed by Guangdong Longchuangji Pharmaceutical for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis (BV). It consists of a combination of live Lactobacillus strains, typically including *Lactobacillus crispatus*, *Lactobacillus gasseri*, and *Lactobacillus jensenii*, which are the dominant species in a healthy vaginal microbiome. Upon vaginal administration, these bacteria colonize the vaginal mucosa and produce lactic acid, which lowers the vaginal pH to an acidic range (pH < 4.5). This environment, along with the production of hydrogen peroxide and bacteriocins, inhibits the growth of anaerobic pathogens such as *Gardnerella vaginalis* and *Atopobium vaginae*, thereby restoring microecological balance and alleviating symptoms of infection.
