The preparation utilizes live *Cutibacterium acnes* (formerly *Propionibacterium acnes*), a commensal bacterium naturally found in healthy human skin, to restore microbial balance and modulate inflammatory pathways. Its primary therapeutic focus is **atopic dermatitis (AD)**, where it is intended to suppress type 2 immune responses and inhibit the colonization of pathogenic bacteria such as *Staphylococcus aureus*. It is also being explored for the treatment of **acne vulgaris**. The drug is currently in early-stage clinical evaluation in China.
