Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LiveSpo Smile CARE is an oral-spray, liquid spore-based probiotic product developed for oral and dental health, formulated with high-concentration spores of Bacillus subtilis ANA48 and Bacillus clausii ANA39 (≥1×10⁹ CFU/mL in a 20 mL 0.9% sodium chloride solution). It is being clinically evaluated as a preventive and adjunctive treatment for dental caries in children and periodontal disease in adults, where direct application of Bacillus spores to the oral cavity is intended to modulate the oral microbiome, reduce pathogenic bacteria such as cariogenic and periodontopathogenic species, and modulate local inflammatory responses to improve gingival and tooth health.[1][3] The product leverages LiveSpo’s spore probiotic technology, which emphasizes stability, acid and heat resistance, and rapid germination, enabling viable spore delivery to oral surfaces and biofilms to help restore microbial balance and support oral mucosal immunity.[2][4][8]
