Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Livomyn is a proprietary Ayurvedic hepatoprotective formulation developed by Charak Pharma. It is composed of a blend of time-tested, well-documented herbs, including Kalmegh (*Andrographis paniculata*), Bhumyamalaki (*Phyllanthus niruri*), Katuki (*Picrorhiza kurroa*), Punarnava (*Boerhavia diffusa*), Guduchi (*Tinospora cordifolia*), and Daruharidra (*Berberis aristata*). Livomyn is designed to support liver health, protect hepatocytes from toxin-induced damage, regulate bile flow, and maintain healthy liver enzyme levels (such as SGPT and SGOT). It is indicated for minor liver ailments, viral hepatitis, drug-induced hepatotoxicity, alcohol-induced hepatotoxicity, and cholestatic jaundice. Additionally, a variant called Livomyn-FL combines silymarin, resveratrol, N-acetylcysteine, and Kalmegh to support metabolic liver function related to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
