LL-E7P is a recombinant *Lactococcus lactis* (L. lactis) strain engineered to express the Human Papillomavirus type 16 (HPV-16) E7 oncogenic protein. It serves as a live bacterial-vectored mucosal vaccine candidate. The E7 protein is a critical tumor-specific antigen constitutively expressed in HPV-associated malignancies, such as cervical cancer, and is essential for cellular transformation. By utilizing *L. lactis*, a food-grade, non-pathogenic, and non-invasive bacterium, LL-E7P is designed to deliver the E7 antigen directly to mucosal surfaces via intranasal administration. This approach aims to stimulate both mucosal and systemic immune responses, specifically inducing E7-specific cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) activity to target and eliminate HPV-16-infected or transformed cells.
