LLE-anti-CD33 is an investigational therapeutic candidate developed by LLE Biopharma for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It utilizes the company's proprietary Lipid-Like Envelope (LLE) platform, which involves a nanoparticle delivery system designed to mimic the structure of a virus or a cell membrane. The nanoparticle is functionalized with an anti-CD33 monoclonal antibody to specifically target CD33-expressing leukemic blasts. Once bound to the target cell, the LLE nanoparticle is internalized, releasing its cytotoxic payload directly into the cytoplasm. This approach aims to enhance the therapeutic index of traditional chemotherapy by reducing systemic toxicity and improving delivery to malignant cells.
