LLT-M1 is a preclinical-stage medicated contact lens being developed by MediPrint Ophthalmics (formerly Leo Lens Technology) for the treatment of myopia. The product utilizes the company's proprietary 3D printing technology to incorporate a therapeutic agent into a contact lens, enabling the sustained and controlled release of the drug directly to the ocular surface. This delivery modality is designed to address the limitations of traditional eye drops, such as poor patient compliance and systemic absorption, by providing a more consistent therapeutic effect and improving ease of use, particularly for pediatric patients who are the primary target for myopia progression control.
