Overview

LM-201 is a personalized nanoparticle formulation of paclitaxel being developed by LipoMedics. It utilizes the company's proprietary phospholipid-bound nanoparticle platform (based on LM-101) in conjunction with a Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) device to enable individualized dosing. Paclitaxel acts as a microtubule stabilizer by targeting tubulin, thereby inhibiting cell division and inducing apoptosis in cancer cells. The TDM-guided approach is designed to optimize drug exposure and minimize toxicity by accounting for patient-specific pharmacokinetic variability. LM-201 is intended for the treatment of various solid tumors, including metastatic breast cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
