Overview

LM-301 is a personalized nanoparticle formulation of paclitaxel being developed by LipoMedics for the treatment of ovarian cancer. The drug consists of paclitaxel, a microtubule-stabilizing chemotherapy agent that targets tubulin, delivered within a phospholipid-bound nanoparticle designed for intravenous administration. LM-301 represents an advancement over the company's base formulation (LM-101) by integrating therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) technology and biomarker-based patient selection to enable precision medicine and individualized dosing. This formulation is designed to overcome the limitations of conventional paclitaxel treatments by eliminating the need for toxic solvents like Cremophor EL while maintaining drug stability and improving delivery to tumor sites.
